Code of Conduct

TechFems organizes events that welcome all women+ (including non-binary and trans). We aim to provide a safe space and harassment-free experience for all our participants, regardless of their background.

We do not tolerate any form of harassment or discrimination of our participants. Violating these rules may result in being expelled from the event and the TechFems community, and banned from future events at the discretion of the organizers. The TechFems Code of Conduct applies to everyone who is involved in the TechFems activities in any way, also when communicating about TechFems .

Forms of harassment include, but are not limited to:

  • Offensive verbal comments about gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, race, or religion.
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing through photography or recording participants.
  • Sexual language or content (i.e. sexual images) in any form, or unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Sustained disruption of talks, presentations, or any activities being held at the events (coming late, being noisy or talking during presentations, etc.).
  • Inappropriate physical contact of any form.

If you suffered or know anyone that has suffered any type of harassment, please get in touch with our team members as soon as possible. Feel free to contact any of us or write us in our Slack channel.

Founded in October 2023, TechFems is a dynamic and inclusive initiative committed to empowering women+ in the tech industry.
