TechFems is a unique place for women+ career changers to share their experiences, ambitions and questions with other women+ developers. It provides an ideal opportunity for tech women+ to network and meet new people, and to get career advice from experienced women+ developers. The perks of hosting

For a company, there are a number of advantages to hosting the TechFems community:

  • Promotion of the company through a brief introduction at the beginning of the event
  • Opportunity to announce hiring positions and have a female employee present at the session to meet with women+ who may be interested
  • Special mentions in our social media and our Slack channel and your company name and logo on our website as hosting partner
  • Women+ developers in the company can get involved as volunteers and gain valuable mentorship experience

What to expect

We organise three TechFems meetings each month, either on Sundays from 12.00 to 15.30 hrs or Mondays from 19.00 to 21.30 hrs. We are looking for companies that want to work with us to improve the diversity in tech, by hosting one of our events. The events we organise are:


with a speaker, workshop, tutorial or panel discussion. This event aims to increase knowledge and practical skills related to tech topics, professional skills and career aspects, with a lot of time to interact and network. For this event we need a space that seats 35 people, with a screen and microphone for presentations. Part of the space will be used for networking with some snacks and drinks during the break and afterwards.


with women+ developers, designers and data analysts who help and coach. The participants can work on their own projects or homework, get help when they are stuck and ask about topics they want to know more about. For this event we need a space with a minimum of six tables that can seat five people each, or a similar setup.


an informal meetup of women+ who want to meet other women+ in tech, network, hang out and get help with their project. For this type of event, we need a space with some places to sit and some room to stand and chat and move around. Part of the group will work together, and others will network and meet new people. A relaxed area like a cantina is great for a TechTribe event. We usually have around 35 women+ participating. Our team will visit the location in advance to answer questions and talk about the logistics.

Volunteers Meet

TechFems organises Volunteers Meets 4 times per year. These are volunteers-only events, to get ideas and feedback from the TechFems volunteers on the activities we do, how we work, how we communicate, and plenty of space for volunteers to share. It is also a moment for the volunteers to meet and get to know other volunteers, because we have new volunteers joining all the time. Our volunteers are the heart of TechFems and we use these special events to have time to talk and share. For these events we need space for a group of around 25 people, on Monday evening between 19.00 and 21.30 hrs.

After the event, our team will make sure the space is tidied up and organized as it was before the event.
